FURAHA project is a success from the start
We are more than just another foundation, we are a Furaha family!
From the beginning building a deep relationship was the first thing that started in a natural way. Our founder Bianca invested a lot of her time to understand the needs of these Tanzanian rural women, their desires, their dreams while living in the rural village Itagutwa during her stay.
We believe that without an equal, respectful relationship with these beautiful locals, charity is worthless.
Nowadays Furaha Farm provides already for 20 families all-year-round healthy food, a small income, doctors access and hope for a better future!
HOW WE HELP
Furaha Project prioritize family health and well being in mind and body by developing the self-sustainability of all members of our Furaha Family. Women who join the Furaha Project work three days a week at our Furaha Farm. The farm provides them in healthy food for living almost all year round and a fixed small salary each month. Health insurance is an important part of our project, all members of the Furaha Family are insured by the Project.
The salary can be paid from the market selling of all these delicious huge watermelons and tomatoes. We only seedle with the highest quality of Dutch seeds to ensure us from a rich harvest.
